La vie en rose

La vie en rose...these are the words that come to mind when I see these pictures taken at the end of April in Jardin des plantes in Paris. At that moment I was so happy to be back to the city that was my home for a few years that I couldn't resist having a small photo session which happens not so often I should admit.  After all, it's not every day when we see Paris in bloom and as they say we should appreciate every moment of our life...

Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte

Last weekend was so sunny and warm that I almost believed that spring had come to Parisian region. Hélas, one week later it's still winter-grey. Fortunately, these beautiful photos made last Sunday, remind me of this amazing time. 

So, here is the first part of my visit to Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte that I've been dreaming about for a long time. It was the first working day of the chateau in 2015, and I can imagine how beautiful the garden should be in summer. 

Inside of Élysée Palace

As promised, I am taking you inside of the Élysée Palace. The palace is huge: several salons, the President office, meeting rooms, library, hall of Festivities and so on. In general it may take up to 4 hours to see everything. The story of the palace goes back to the 18^th century, and it seems that some of the rooms still have the spirit of that time (except for the last room, it's the 20th-century Salle à Manger Paulin).

In the park of the Élysée Palace

Going through my photos I found these pictures taken during my first year in Paris while visiting the Élysée Palace. No, I was not a guest of the President, it was just one of journée du patrimoine. After waiting for 4 hours in a line (from 6am), we finally were allowed to enter this gorgeous place with amazing park. So, here is the first part of photos taken outside of the Élysée Palace. 

Under the dome

Galeries Lafayette is a kind of department store where one comes not only to do shopping but to make pictures of this amazing architecture. I especially like the impressive ceiling of this building: there is something magical about it and the light coming through it.
