As Audrey Hepburn said, Paris is always a good idea. This is what I thought when I moved to Paris a few years ago to do my studies first and then to work. But I still remember how challenging it was to collect documents for visa, to find a flat, a hair dresser that understands you, to get used to the fact that shops are closed on Sundays.
