What: Chateau of Rambouillet
Where: Ile-de-France region, 50 km from Paris
How to get there: car, train
About: Chateau of Rambouillet used to be a property of Louis XVI, Napoleon I, Napoleon III, a place where the first summit G6 was held. It was also a residence of French Presidents till 2009 and now it’s the one of the French Prime Minister. Apart from a long history that the chateau can boast of, it is also famous for its beautiful garden. Sure, it isn’t as exquisite as Chateau de Versailles but still it’s a nice place to visit, less crowded and ideal for those who enjoy riding a bike or having a picnic.
