What could be a better idea than starting a year in a luxury spa in an iconic French city…
The desire to explore Guerlain spa and the famous swimming pool of Trianon Palace motivated us to go to Versailles for a day. Located on the edge of the Royal Domain of Versailles, this hotel is ideal for those who want to explore the domain of chateau and add royal touch to their stay in Versailles.
What I like…
The swimming pool is really huge with an impressive mosaic floor. Hammam and sauna are not that big but there is enough space for 4-5 people. There is also coffee and tea making facilities for guests.
I can’t say anything about Guerlain treatments since it was a spontaneous visit and I didn’t have time to book les soins.
Other comments…
I expected to find more relaxing atmosphere in the pool area with comfortable cushions and sofas like in Royal Monceau instead of basic swimming pool chairs. Because of the fact that it was quite noisy with the children playing inside the pool, I can’t really advise it to people looking for romantic and relaxing time. But perhaps it was just winter holidays with many tourists.
Talking about infrastructure except for hammam and sauna, there is no jacuzzi, no water jets, nothing that could justify the price of 70€ per day. A little bit disappointing…
